Neighbours Aotearoa (formerly Neighbours Day Aotearoa) is a community development initiative dedicated to growing, connecting and strengthening neighbourhoods across Aotearoa.
Sunnynook Catchment Recovery
Following the severe weather events of 2023, Community Think supported a community-led recovery process across the Sunnynook catchment, engaging more than 100 local residents.
Milford Community Recovery
Following the severe weather events of 2023, Community Think partnered with the Milford Recovery Group and Milford Residents Association to support a community-led recovery process.
Ellerslie Town Centre
Community Think partnered with the Ōrākei Local Board to gather community ideas for the future of Ellerslie Town Centre. Through a combination of in-person engagement and an online Polis survey.
Panama Community
Community Think worked with the Panama Riverside Committee to engage local residents and identify shared priorities.
Leys Institute
Auckland Council contracted Community Think to engage the community in the local area to gather input to the service design for the remodelled institute.
Puhinui Warkworth Centre Plan
Community Think was approached to lead a process in partnership with the Rodney Local Board, Ngāti Manuhiri and Motu Design (the core project group) to collect community voices to inform the Warkworth Town Centre Plan.
Epuni Fairfield community plan
Community Think worked alongside the newly formed Epuni Fairfield Community Group, and supported two local community activators to build a community-led plan for Epuni Fairfield.
West Auckland Together
In partnership with West Auckland Together, a collective formed during COVID-19, we captured their community impact through interviews, surveys, and focus groups.
Dargaville Youth Voice
Working alongside an existing youth services network to connect with young people who engaged in a youth-led listening campaign with young people in Dargaville.
Mobile Libraries and Access review
Partnered with Auckland Council's Mobile Library and Access Service to explore how mobile outreach could best serve communities facing systemic barriers to participation.
South Kaipara Food Plan
Contracted by Kai Collective Te Awaroa to develop a community-led food security plan for South Kaipara, through food talks, playback theatre, and community engagement.
